RSF likely behind drone strike on Kenana Sugar’s ethanol facility
In Sudan, the Sudan Tribune newspaper reports that drone strikes allegedly by the Rapid Support Forces have caused significant damage to Kenana Sugar’s ethanol production facility and fuel storage tanks as part of increased arial attacks in recent days. The 65 million liter per year ethanol facility was commissioned in 2009 and has been one of the leading ethanol facilities in Africa. Kenana’s facility and its airfield have been subjected to drone strikes previously during the ongoing war in Sudan.
